Wise & Compassionate
We're Blessed by Joe
Feasting on aging Japanese Anemone
How is it the media feast on President Biden’s age, discouraging him from running, but give the mere 3 years younger Trump, a pass? When Trump’s unhinged behavior betrays aging in ways Biden’s steady leadership belies.
So fascinated by the GOP frontrunner’s antics, such salable copy? Has the media been so coopted by the metastasizing popular free-for-all, fearful of losing audience, that all consideration of responsible journalism has been lost?
Even the NY Times, Washington Post, LA Times, we once relied on?
It is a national shame that the most decent president in my lifetime, who has done more to restore lost balance to our top-heavy economy, seriously address the impending climate catastrophe, rebuild our stature in the international community, should have his character and achievements besmirched.
Now that the special prosecutor has satisfied the blood lust of those who care nothing for the countless indictments against Trump, by indicting the surviving Biden son, can we really pretend there is some equivalence?
Joe Biden has lived through the woes of Hunter’s horrors. He’s criticized for not abandoning him since he has become a political liability. One of the signs of the President’s character is his refusal to let political expediency turn him against his troubled son. Ever since Beau, the favored son, died of brain cancer, Joe and Jill Biden have remained steadfast in their support despite what must be intense pressure from his own Party.
Who knows whether Joe will end up the Democratic candidate? I would make a heavy bet that, if it comes down to a choice between running or sticking with Hunter, Joe and Jill will choose Hunter.
This entry is as deep as I intend to wade into our nation’s chaotic politics.
Let the polls, and the media, feast on the unimaginable claim that the two men are tied for the lead. I choose to think the country will finally make the viable, decent choice for sustaining our ongoing national experiment.
No one will ever make a more principled choice on behalf of the still untested claim that we’re all equal before the law, than Joe Biden.

Totally agree. I also think Biden does not get the credit he deserves for hiring good people and letting them do their jobs. I hold onto the hope that polls have been consistently wrong since 2016 and underestimated the anti-trump vote.
