Resist
Now
This was slipped into the horrific bill the Republicans are trying to portray as a budget bill:
“No court of the United States may use appropriated funds to enforce a contempt citation for failure to comply with an injunction or temporary restraining order if no security was given when the injunction or order was issued….”
You get it.
The hundreds of stops federal judges have handed down against the hundreds of unconstitutional acts created since January 20, would be null and void.
It effectively dismantles the justice system on which our fragile experiment in separation of powers depends. The idea in the separation of powers is that no individual must be able to enforce his will without challenge,
Demonstrations are being planned all across the country for No Kings Day on June 14. The date was chosen because the president plans to mark his birthday, and Flag Day, with a military parade that is not only obscenely costly, but would be more appropriate for Red Square in Moscow.
Find the demonstration near you, and go!
If you need motivation, take a look at the speech the president gave at West Point graduation. (where he actually wore one of his red hats!).
If we don’t rise up and bring down this assault on democracy, our national experiment in equal justice, will have failed.

Thanks, Blayney. We are at a Turning Point in history, I think, and we can no longer hope that the so-called moderate Republicans will help protect us from Trump's authoritarian moves. We must resist!
Thank you Blayne for adding your voice to resist. We all need to be advocates for the resistance, or this experiment in democracy will surely be lost.
