Bargain Basement
De-Accession
Time has come for me to lose weight.
Not mine. I can hardly hang onto enough old-age pounds to keep me going.
It’s the detritus of my life. The toughest, for me, is the books I have published. They are a little like offspring. While I’m not standing in line for a Pulitzer, I’m proud of them. Even in a world that has turned to digital (they are available digitally), somehow knowing they will outlive me gives me some impossible to define comfort.
Now, like many authors, I have a bunch of the books that were intended for readings that got snowed out, or workshops I didn’t get to.
Before I take them to the thrift, I thought I would give you a shot at them.
If you would send me $10 for getting one of them to you, at: Blayney Colmore, Box 516, Jacksonville, VT 05342, with the address to which they should be sent, I will send you a signed copy.
These are the three I like best.
I had promised myself I would never use this site for commerce. Since I won’t actually make anything on this deal, maybe I can tell myself I’ve kept to that.
It’s been a great run. I’m not through with writing on Substack, but I can’t imagine doing another book. So, maybe these will be collectors’ items?
